Do you have your Lotto Max ticket yet?
This week’s draw, which happens Friday, has a record breaking $113 million in prizes. Of the $113 million, an estimated $60 million goes towards a jackpot, while the remaining $53 million is divided into 53 separate $1 million MAXMILLIONS prizes.
Last week, three Vancouver Island residents won prizes, two of them winning $1 million and one winner taking home $500,000.
Tickets for Lotto Max can be purchased at any lottery service provider, and run for $5 each. A ticket includes three sets of seven numbers (that range from 1 – 49), and winners of the jackpot or million dollar prizes must match one set of seven numbers to the numbers drawn.
The odds of winning the $60 million grand prize are 1 in 28,633,528. If no jackpot winner is found on Friday, the same amount will be available for a winner next week.
The last time a $60 million jackpot was awarded was in July of this year, after a group of five friends in Ottawa, who had been buying tickets for about a decade, finally drew the winning numbers.
Lotto Max is a Canadian lottery that is played throughout the country.
