Times are changing, and so are Canadians’ diets.
A recent study conducted by Dalhousie University revealed that over 6.4 million Canadians follow diets that restrict or eliminate meat, with a further 32% of Canadians thinking of reducing their meat consumption over the next six months.
While there are numerous reasons why Canadians would be steering away from meat, environmental concerns are at the forefront of these recent changes. Meat industries, especially beef, have been found to be detrimental to our quickly deteriorating climate, and many Canadians seem to be responding to a call to action.
Luckily for us, Victoria is the perfect place to make those dietary changes. From Bastion Square to Royal Oak, we have no shortage of vegan- and vegetarian-friendly options.
