7-Eleven Canada will sow a plant for every cup of hot beverage sold

7-Eleven Canada has launched a new clean, green initiative that may help offset their carbon footprint.

For every cup of hot beverage purchased at any 7-Eleven location across Canada, the company promises to sow a plant (native to their specific restoration sites). As a result, the country could see up to 20 million new plants per year.

“This program is just the beginning for us,” says Doug Rosencrans, VP and General Manager of 7-Eleven Canada.

“As the largest chain in the convenience retail industry, we have a unique opportunity to positively impact the environment on a global scale. This means acting locally to implement more sustainability initiatives and giving back to Canadian communities by improving local green spaces.”

In addition, the company will also be giving its 7Rewards members one free small cup of coffee per day between Monday, November 19th until Saturday, November 24th.
