A pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a motorcycle in downtown Victoria Saturday.
Victoria police said they responded to multiple 911 calls around 8:45 p.m. reporting that a motorcycle collided with a pedestrian at the intersection of Pandora Avenue and Douglas Street.
The motorcycle was travelling west on Pandora Avenue.
Police said the initial the crash is still being investigated by traffic officers as well as detectives from the major crime unit.
Both rider and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle and were also transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators are looking to speak with several bystanders who assisted the victims, including several off-duty doctors who came to the scene to assist.
The details leading up to the crash are still being investigated. No names have been released.
