Victoria ranked one of the best small cities in the world (SURVEY)

Our little slice of heaven has been recognized yet again!

According to 429,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers, Victoria is the 14th best small city in the world, outside the USA.

The annual Readers Choice Award ranking this year took a significant dip for our city, after Victoria was named the second best small city in the world in 2017. That spot has been taken by Salzburg, Austria and the #1 rank is retained San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

“As a former British colony, Victoria retains stately mansions and manicured gardens that are perfect for walking and gazing,” reads the caption for Victoria.

“Its mild climate and location on the southern end of Vancouver Island also make it an excellent location for outdoor activities.”

Condé Nast recommends tourists enjoy the great outdoors in Victoria by kayaking across the harbour and walking along Ogden Point. They even give a shout out to Red Fish Blue Fish – a Victoria staple restaurant best known for its traditional fish-and-chips.
