Rock’N’Soul Christmas

A Rock’N’Soul Christmas is a fun filled rock’n’roll show featuring all the huge hits of Little Richard, James Brown, Fats Domino, and Tina Turner with a sprinkle of your holiday favourites.

  • Where: McPherson Playhouse, 3 Centennial Square

Victoria Jazz Society Presents: Ari Hoenig Trio

Brooklyn-based jazz drummer, composer and educator Ari Hoenig has a reputation for his unusual, intense approach to drumming. He has produced ten CDs as a bandleader and won the prestigious 2013 BMW Welt Award in Munich, an international competition for best drummer-led band.

Esquimalt’s Christmas Tree Village

Experience the magic of the holidays at the Fifth Annual Christmas Tree Village. The Esquimalt Recreation Centre and the Archie Browning Sports Centre has been transformed into holiday heavens teeming with twinkling lights and decorations for all tastes!

  • When: Daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. until January 4

Waiting for Christmas: An Improvised Samuel Beckett

On the night before Christmas, standing on a near-empty stage in the middle of somewhere, two unusual improvisers wait for something to happen. This show will be a tragi comedic and absurd exploration of the holidays and what it means to be a human. Nothing to be done. Each night will feature a different Victoria theatre company.

Bicycle Polo!

A friendly and diverse group of folks who enjoys playing not-so-competitive pickup games every Wednesday night. They welcome all those who want to come watch, hang out or get on the court. If you would like to join in the fun, they can supply a bike and mallet. No skills or experience necessary. Wearing a helmet is recommended. The court is located behind the community centre.
