Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run in Saanich.
Glanford Avenue was briefly closed Monday morning after a six-year-old child was struck by a vehicle around 7:30 a.m. while crossing a marked crosswalk between Kenneth and Tait streets.
According to police, the suspect vehicle did not stop at the scene and was last seen heading northbound on Glanford Avenue.
The child, who was travelling with her older sister, was transported to hospital and police say that she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect vehicle is described as a late 80’s or early 90’s vehicle with boxy body slides, silver bumpers, and a damaged passenger-side view mirror.
