The latest Vancouver Island Lotto 6/49 winner just came forward and plans to buy a home

Just two days after a Nanaimo man became a millionaire playing Lotto 6/49, a Vancouver Island woman has come forward with the winning numbers for a Saturday guaranteed prize draw.

Sooke resident Cinnamon Lennox is now $1 million richer after she matched all 10 numbers on her ticket to the guaranteed prize draw. For Cinnamon, the win means an opportunity to relax and enjoy life for a spell.

“There will be less stress and a lot more enjoying life. It’s a huge change for us,” Cinnamon told Lotto 6/49.

In the immediate future, a new car and nice night out with the family is in store.

“I’m going to buy a late model Corvette. I love those, but it doesn’t have to be new,” said Cinnamon.

“We will stay in a nice hotel and then take the kids to Kobe Steak House so they can watch the chef prepare the food right in front of them. We will take it easy from there.”

In the long term, her plans are to buy some land and build a new home for her kids, her father, and her cousin. “It’s going to be a dream house! There will definitely be a hot tub and a pool, and a nice view, of course.”

Cinnamon bought her winning ticket at the Pharmasave on Sooke Road.

“It really is an overwhelming blessing to be able to have security for your family.”
