A winter sunset in Victoria (Instagram @robhehr)

While most of the country has been busy contending with a polar vortex, Victorians were just happy to take in a little snowfall this past weekend.

According to Environment Canada, the city saw a mere 0.4 mm of snowfall on Sunday. But those who are eager to see more might not have to wait long.

Tonight’s forecast calls for temperatures of -5°C with a 30% chance of snowy flurries. Meanwhile, the weather agency predicts a 60% chance of flurries for the city on Thursday evening.

Whether or not more flakes make their way to the island, here are 14 photos and videos of Victoria’s brush with late-winter snow.
