We are receiving reports that the Pat Bay Highway has been closed in both directions from Sayward to Swartz Bay due to heavy snow accumulations and visibility issues.

Sidney/ North Saanich RCMP tweeted the highway was closed from Keating X Road to BC Ferries.

Around 6 p.m. Sunday, BC Ferries posted a tweet stating the foot passenger drop-off at Swartz Bay has been blocked following a vehicle accident at Lands End exit on Patricia Bay Highway.

One passenger tweeted that at least 100 people are stuck at the Swartz Bay terminal. Buses and cabs are not able to reach the terminal.

Also, most incoming flights to the Victoria International Airport have been delayed or cancelled due to white out conditions. Make sure to check the flight status before heading out.

The Malahat remains closed as highway crews work to clear vehicles so plows can clear the roads.
