Heavy smoke can be seen rising from Port Sidney marina as a fire appears to have caught on one of the docked vessels on Saturday afternoon at around 2:45 p.m.
Sidney Fire Department and RCMP are currently on site. A large crowd has also gathered at the marina to watch the scene.
Witnesses say the acrid smoke has enshrouded the small township thanks to strong winds. There are no reports of injuries yet.
