Looking for the best place to have a staycation?

US News & World Report has just released its annual ranking of the best hotels in Canada, showing that you don’t have to journey far to find a luxurious place to stay.

Each hotel’s ranking was determined by a combination of its professional reviews, guest reviews, and industry awards. Only hotels that were considered 4 stars or higher were examined, as well as select 3.5 star hotels that had received notable industry accolades.

“The highest-ranking hotels are typically those that both experts and users recognize for their exceptional quality,” reads US News’ methodology.

Beautiful British Columbia was represented well in this year’s ranking, claiming 9 of the top 15 spots on the list. Of those 9 hotels, Vancouver Island was home to 3 of them.
