For the 7th consecutive year, Amazon Canada has ranked Victoria as the most romantic city in the country.
“Victoria, British Columbia is certainly hooked on a feeling and that feeling is love,” says Amazon.
The ranking looks at purchase information of romance novels (both print and electronic), romantic comedies, relationship books, jewelry, and sexual wellness products per capita in 2018.
Victoria, our little island of romance, claimed the number one spot in all five of these product categories.
Meanwhile, Victoria, with the help of just two other cities, LaSalle (ON) and Fort McMurray (AB), make up 50% of all the romance products sold in the country.
Interestingly, Julia Roberts’ Pretty Woman (1990) was the best-selling romantic movie in our nation last year, according to Amazon.
