“Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur,” warns Environment Canada. The weather agency also recommends keeping an eye out for tree branches that may break in the wind and for loose objects that may be tossed on the road.
The wind is expected to lessen in the afternoon, but “remain brisk” through Tuesday morning.
