Luke Perry, star of 90210 and Riverdale dies at 52

American actor, Luke Perry, star of Beverly Hills 90210 and Netflix’s Riverdale has passed away at the age of 52.

His death came earlier today following a massive stroke on Wednesday.

“He was surrounded by his children, Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends,” a representative said in a statement.

“The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”

Perry is best known for his long-standing role as Dylan McKay on 90210 in the early 2000’s, and for his recent performance as Fred Andrews, Archie’s father, in Riverdale.

The veteran actor will appear posthumously in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, which is slated for release later this year.
