A single vehicle roll-over crash in Saanich caused “significant but non-life threatening” injuries to one person late Thursday night.
At roughly 11:00 p.m., Saanich Police were called to the 3300 block of Douglas Street after receiving reports of a crash.
According to investigators, the SUV had just left the Esso gas station on Douglas Street and Tolmie Avenue when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.

Two people were inside the vehicle when it crashed. The driver sustained minor injuries, while the passenger was ejected from the SUV, suffering significant but non-life threatening injuries.
Both people were transported to hospital.
Due to the seriousness of the crash, police shut down the section of Douglas Street between 11:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
As the investigation is in its early stages, the cause of the crash is not yet known.
