BC Hydro has reported a power outage in downtown Victoria that occurred at 5:40 p.m. on Monday, March 11th.
2,679 customers are currently without power and the outage is being attributed to a substation fault.
Traffic lights at the intersection of Douglas St and Broughton St are currently not working as a result.
Here’s a breakdown of the affected areas:
- South of Summit Ave, North of Belleville St, West of Qadra St, East of Harbour Rd – 2,615 affected
- 500 block Fisgard St, 500 block Herald St – 53 affected
- North of Fort St, West of Quadra St, East of Blanshard St, South of Yates St – 11 affected
Hydro crews are en route and expect to arrive on site at 6:30 p.m.
