The weekend has arrived!

There’s plenty to do in the city today, including a puppy meet and greet, a venue to watch Game of Thrones, a job fair to attend, a memorial run, and more.

Your weekend plans are set with these 13 things to do in and around Victoria.

Saturday

The Sarah Beckett Memorial Run

Head down to the West Shore to participate in this family run and walk in honour of West Shore RCMP Cst. Sarah Beckett, who died in the line of duty in April, 2016, when a drunk driver hit her police cruiser.

Registration fees and fundraising money will be donated to the Constable Sarah Beckett Memorial Scholarship which goes to youth education and raises awareness for traffic safety issues and community service provided by police.

Puppy Brewster: Puppy Meet & Greet

Plumage Exhibit Public Opening

Camosun Comic Arts Festival

The annual Camosun Comic Arts Festival at Camosun College has returned!

The one-day event is a celebration of the artistic and literary impact of comics and graphic novels created locally, nationally, and internationally. Conference attendees will hear, see, and experience the process of visual storytelling, and discuss the medium with the students, teachers, professional creators, publishers, and other fans.

Paper Street Theatre Improv Festival

It’s the final day of the Paper Street Theatre Improv festival continues!

To celebrate its fourth year, instead of bringing in four companies, the Paper Street Theatre Improv Festival is bringing in four directors! This year’s festival features the Four Corners Collective: artistic directors from improv companies in Calgary, Red Deer, Victoria and Portland. Each night audiences will enjoy ensemble shows directed by the Four Corners Collec as well as feature sets by these accomplished artistic directors.

20th Annual Spring Concert

Don’t miss the 20th annual Band of the 5th (BC) Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, presents Spring Concert!

The Band of the 5th is a unit of the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve and is the only Army Brass-Reed band on Vancouver Island. It’s been in Victoria since 1864, making it the oldest continually-operational band west of Thunder Bay.

Eat North presents Drags Benny Victoria

Getting Started with Backyard Beekeeping
