Without further ado, here are 5 reasons why you’ll want to check out Pacific FC’s home-opener this month:

1. Professional soccer is here on the island!

Pacific FC’s roster is shaping up to be a major contender for the inaugural Canadian Premier League title. With a current total of 7 teams across Canada, and a plan to bump to 10 for 2020 and 12 by 2026, the CPL is the first truly coast to coast professional league for Canadians by Canadians. Get out and support your Island team!

2. Soccer could be your family friendly go-to this summer

The Canadian Premier League’s whole mantra is about growing the game for Canadians, and what better way than introducing kids early? Between being able to expend some serious energy cheering on and getting into the game, and having lots of opportunity to meet the players, soccer games could be your new favourite family pass time.

3. Pacific FC’s roster is seriously easy on the eyes

It almost goes without saying, but c’mon, ladies! What’s better than taking in the sport on a warm summer’s day, but also getting to indulge in a little bit of eye candy while you do it? This Instagram-worthy group of guys are as sweet as they are good-looking, and give us a serious case of heart-eyes!

4. PFC’s first opponent is flying across the country just to play

Halifax Wanderers (HFX) are set to match up against Pacific FC in their home-opener, and Halifax will fly 4,476 km – the 3rd largest trip in professional soccer across the globe – a trip PFC will make themselves on June 1st.

5. The team’s fan shop has some incredibly sweet gear

Pacific FC’s trademark purple is iconic as it is eye-catching, and with everything from hoodies and hats, to accessories like backpacks and even mugs, their fan shop has a little bit of something for everyone!

You can see Pacific Football Club’s 2019 schedule below, and tickets are still available for both single games and season ticket packages! The ride begins April 28th – will we see you there?
