There’s good news for island commuters who travel between Nanaimo and Gabriola Island.
BC Ferries is adding over 300 annual sailings to the Nanaimo Harbour – Gabriola Island route, which shuttles hundreds of thousands of Vancouver Islanders a year.
“Our government is delivering results by putting the public interest first,” said Doug Routley, MLA for Nanaimo-North Cowichan. “The more than 750,000 passengers who travel on the Gabriola route each year, and the Island economy that depends on them will benefit from these improvements to ferry service.”
The 300+ sailings are part of 2,700 round trip sailings that are being added to 10 ferry routes this year or early 2020.
