It may be spring in Victoria but Westeros is currently smack dab in the middle of the Long Winter – and we’re starting to feel the chill!
From Dorne to Winterfell, every character in HBO’s hit series, Game of Thrones, is gearing up for the battle of a lifetime while die-hard fans wait with bated breath for the first episode final season to air on Sunday, April 14th.
With no guidebook in place – the series’ timeline and plot is currently far ahead of its literary counterpart by G.R.R. Martin – and a tight lipped cast and crew, nobody actually has a clue what’s about to happen.
But in British Columbia, residents have already begun placing their bets on who they think will rule and who will die in season 8 of Game of Thrones.
The BC Lottery Corporation is offering loyal fans the option to put their money where their mouth is and bet on (or against) their favourite characters in the show.
Think Daenerys Targaryen will eventually be crowned queen of Westeros? Is Bran Stark the Night King? Will Jaime Lannister kill his evil twin sister? Who would win in a fight between The Mountain and The Hound?
