As we gear-up to Pacific Football Club’s inaugural season beginning, there have been many new additions to the team –  the latest and greatest, though, is a vibrant purple starfish named Stewie, who was announced as the team’s official mascot today!

There was much anticipation leading up to today, the mascot’s Twitter account handle simply stating “PFC Mascot”, with the profile picture as a question mark – that is, until PFC’s kickoff party in downtown Victoria this afternoon, where the mysterious mascot finally revealed his true identity.

At around 1 p.m. today along Victoria’s waterfront, Stewie the Starfish was introduced to the crowds amongst drums and cheers, the iconic purple mascot handing out hugs and high-fives as he made his grand entrance.

Stewie has already found himself a following, and was one of the biggest hits of the party, posing for many photo opportunities and even joining some dancers in the fun!

Pacific FC will kick off their season with the home-opener happening a mere week away on Sunday, April 28th. Victoria Buzz will be on location to celebrate and be a part of the history, and tickets are still available!
