A section of Gordon Head Road has been closed to traffic by police after a man was found unresponsive on Thursday afternoon.
According to Saanich Police, officers were called to the 4200-block of Gordon Head Road near Arbutus Lane for reports of a man found not breathing in the area.
An ambulance was first on the scene, and determined that the man had died.
Officers from Saanich Police are now at the area, including members of the detective division and forensic identification team.
With the section of street closed to vehicles, traffic is being re-routed.
Saanich Police say that there is no further information at this time, but updates will be provided soon.
