The southbound lanes of the Pat Bay Highway are closed near Elk Lake Sunday afternoon, following a collision between a camper van and cyclist.
On Sunday April 7th at about 3 p.m., Saanich Police responded to the area of Pat Bay Hwy and Royal Oak Drive for a motor vehicle incident where a vehicle and a cyclist where involved in a collision.
The cyclist has been transported to the hospital. At this time the police do not have an update on the condition of the cyclist.
The driver of the vehicle is being assessed at the scene.
Southbound traffic on the Pay Bay Hwy at Haliburton Rd has been shut down and will remain closed for several hours as the Saanich Police collision analysts complete their investigation.
A detour is available.
