This November, Sonic the Hedgehog live-action movie is coming to theatres near you…but the anthropomorphic speedster isn’t the only thing you’ll recognize.

Parts of the movie were filmed on Vancouver Island in September 2018, shutting down a section of Highway 19 near Bowser for several days.

Starring Jim Carrey and James Marsden, Sonic follows the story of a cop from a rural town who helps Sonic escape from the government who is trying to capture him.
