The 29th annual BC Boat Show is returning to Sidney next Thursday and this year’s event is set to be the biggest one yet.

Already the largest in-the-water boat show on Canada’s West Coast, this year’s boat show is slated to attract thousands of boating enthusiasts from BC and Washington State over its 4 day schedule.

The show features a huge selection of power and sail vessels that are on sale and vendors offering a range of goods and services, like outboards, dinghies, navigation equipment, rigging, boat yards, chandlery, clothing, boating and fishing gear, and more.

Visitors will be able to see the dozens of boats docked in the harbour and 225+ international exhibitors on the surrounding piers.

Besides perusing the ships and gear for sale, they can also enjoy a drink or food at the show’s floating beer garden.

“Sidney is a unique and exciting seaside town on Vancouver Island and is at the centre of the most beautiful recreational cruising waters in the world,” said Steven Threadkell, BC Boat Show manager.

“We have plans to make this more than a boat show – more like a festival for all to enjoy.”
