Starting Monday, April 15th, the classic BC restaurant chain is launching a hefty four-ounce char-grilled Avocado Beyond Burger.

If the Avocado Beyond Burger patty sounds tasty to you, but the new dish isn’t quite your jam, you can swap out the meat patty on any White Spot burger with the Beyond patty.

The vegetarian patty will also be available in the restaurant’s new Southwest Power Bowl, which tosses it in with a vibrant mix of fresh veggies, quinoa, jasmine rice, and more.

“People often ask me how White Spot continues to grow and remain relevant after being in business for over 90 years,” said White Spot President, Warren Erhart in a release.

“I tell them, it’s because we’ve never taken our success for granted. We take pride in having something on our menu for everyone and our new Beyond Meat menu items, are an example of how our brand continues to respond to changing demographics, taste profiles and menu trends.”

Guests will be able to order the Avocado Beyond Burger from any full service White Spot starting next Monday. After that, starting May 6th, customers can pick up the vegetarian burger from any “quick-service” Triple O’s in BC.

White Spot has not yet confirmed whether or not the new burgers will be released on BC Ferries.

“White Spot has nearly a century of burger expertise under their belt and shares in our commitment to creating high-quality, delicious burgers,” said Beyond Meat Founder & CEO Ethan Brown in a statement.

“The Beyond Burger provides the satiating taste of a traditional burger but comes with the added health and sustainability benefits of plant-based meat. We’re excited to see how White Spot brings it to life across their menu.”
