On today’s agenda we have an outdoor family fun night, an epic nerd night, performances by Canadian Olympic skaters, and more.

Without further ado, here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria today, Tuesday, May 14th.

Stars on Ice coming to Victoria

While the next Winter Olympics is years away, Victorians can watch Olympic-level athletes and performers take to the ice. Stars on Ice will be returning to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre and this year’s tour features a host of Canadian Olympic medalists.

  • When: Show begins at 7:00 p.m.
  • Where: Save-On-Foods-Memorial-Centre, 1925 Blanshard Street

Family Fun Night

Head down to Braefoot for the 12th annual family fun night!

Visitors can expect a BBQ, vendors, live entertainment ad music, face painting, bouncy castles, FREE kids gift bags, and more!

  • Where: Braefoot Community Association, 1359 McKenzie Avenue

Speakeasy with Hats & Things

Tuesdays can only mean one thing, it’s a swing jazz and speakeasy kind of night! Except tonight, there’s a special Hats & Things theme!

Wear your hats, head toppers and other noggin accessories and get ready to step back in time to 1920 with live swing jazz, sip on classic cocktails, beginner swing dance lessons, and more! Plus, people who know the speakeasy’s secret word will get one free drink!

Nerd Nite Victoria May 2019

Don’t miss the last Nerd Nite Victoria of the season! Nerd Nite’s involve geeky enthusiasts and professionals discussing their passions in an informal atmosphere.

Tonight’s speakers are: Brett McGuire, “Mirror Asymmetry in Life and in Space”; Chelsea Dunning, “Multi-coloured X-ray imaging”; and Aidan Pine, “Language Revitalization and the Role of Technology”.

The Sticky Quiz

This fun and competitive quiz night is on at the Sticky Wicket tonight!

Sixty Watt Trivia is hosting the quiz, which is designed for teams of 8 people or less. The quiz has 4 hard hitting rounds of questions, and is completely free. There’s also prizes for the winning team!
