A harrowing Victoria cold case will be featured on popular television show Dr. Phil later this week.
Jeff Buziak, the father of murdered Victoria realtor Lindsay Buziak will appear on the show on May 24th to discuss his daughter’s decade-long unsolved case.
In February 2008, Lindsay Buziak was murdered by an unknown couple while giving a home showing in Gordon Head. She was found to have been stabbed multiple times in an upstairs bedroom.
Over 11 years later, progress into the investigation has been slow and Lindsay’s father largely blames Saanich Police for the delays.

“Lindsay’s father, Jeff, says he is willing to die in pursuit of justice for Lindsay, so much so, he says he once had a gang member pull a gun on him and threaten his life,” reads the official Dr. Phil synopsis of the episode.
“Find out why Jeff says he believes police are covering up who killed his daughter.”
Lindsay’s father has launched a website to help solve his daughter’s murder. The website is home to hundreds of theories and features in depth research conducted by Jeff, including a detailed timeline of the event.
Why exactly Jeff theorizes that police are covering for his daughter’s murderer remains to be seen during his interview with Dr. Phil.
This will not be the first time that Lindsay’s death has garnered American media attention. In 2010, NBC’s Dateline aired their thorough investigation of the unsolved case.
Police respond
On February 2nd, 2018, the 10th anniversary of Lindsay Buziak’s death, Saanich Police released a statement reaffirming their commitment to solving the case.
Saanich Police say that their investigation is subject to review by the RCMP Office of Investigational Standards and Practices, which has so far approved of their investigational process and that their team includes officers from the mainland.
The police department also noted that they were aware of many internet and social media forums that speculate on case, but regard most of the information as “false, misleading, or deliberately fabricated.”
While theories both professional and amateur surround the case, one thing is for certain: Jeff Buziak has been working tirelessly to find out what happened to his daughter.
