She also stated that West Shore RCMP are coordinating with their counterparts in Richmond to determine her whereabouts.

Verma, who went to high school with Priyanka and has known her for 15 years, told Victoria Buzz that it is highly uncharacteristic for her friend to leave home.

Priyanka was last seen on the Whatsapp messaging app on Wednesday, May 22nd, which is also the last time Verma heard from her friend.

She says that Priyanka’s parents and family in India are extremely worried as they cannot come to Canada to search for their daughter due to lack of a visa.

“I am just wishing for her safety, wherever she is,” says Renu Verma.

West Shore RCMP have confirmed that there is an ongoing case involving Priyanka, but would not speak to the nature of their investigation.

Priyanka moved to her Goldstream Ave residence in Langford with husband, their 6-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son around 8 months ago.
