Visitors of the Bay Centre may notice a bustling youth market set up in the main foyer this Saturday, and there’s a good reason for it!
The 2019 Kidovate market is returning to downtown Victoria to highlight products made and sold by youth entrepreneurs and to help support local charities.
Kidovate Victoria is a fun, free, entrepreneurship initiative for middle school and high school age youth. These students set up their own kiosks and sell products that they have created to help develop business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, and a sense of corporate social responsibility.
To practice corporate social responsibility, each student participating in Kidovate will donate a portion of their profits to a charity of their choice.
In total, 26 local youth between the ages of 11 – 16 will be selling products that they have developed this Saturday.
Products include crocheted and yarn creations, handmade soap and bath bombs, felt friends, socks, poetry, watercolour paintings, pet food, greeting cards, silver jewelry, paper straws, plants, garden sticks, and much more!
If you’re in the market for something unique that will help support local youth and charities, look no further!
