When police arrived on site, the men were still carving away, and upon closer inspection, officers determined that they were carving a swastika onto the road.

The men were then arrested and charged with Mischief under $5,000. Police believe that alcohol was a factor in this incident as all three had been drinking.

“After being informed of the seriousness of the crime, the suspects told the officers they realized the error of their ways and apologized for the damage they caused,” says West Shore RCMP media spokesperson Cst. Saggar.

They have since been released from custody on a Promise to Appear in court.
