Three time Juno award-winning band City and Colour is kicking off the Canadian leg of their cross-continent tour right here in Victoria!

On November 8th, Victorians can jam out to the music of one of the biggest groundswell stories to emerge from Canada, live at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.

City and Colour’s tour announcement was made just hours after the band’s singer-songwriter Dallas Green launched his new song, ‘Astronaut’, which acts as a teaser for their upcoming sixth studio record.

“I always think of the relationships in my life that have been fractured because I ended up doing what I do for a living,” said Green in a press release, regarding the inspiration for the new song.

“I’m always gone, wandering around and singing songs. However, it weighs on my family and friends. I’m asking for ‘one more year’. I left home at 21 to go play my guitar. It’s lonely, but it’s because I yearn to wander. I’m aware of how lucky I am.”

Besides three Juno awards, the band has seven platinum-certified albums and three gold-certified albums in Canada.

Dallas Green’s 2019 tour spans Canada and the U.S. The Canadian shows will all be performed alongside Jacob Banks and Ben Rogers, while his America shows will feature Alice In Chains, Ben Rogers, or Ruby Waters, depending on the city.

Tickets for the Victoria show go on sale this Friday, June 7th.
