The kitten who was found stuffed in a shaving bag and left in a garbage can at Hillside Shopping Centre had a urine test that came back positive for methamphetamine, according to an update from Victoria Animal Control.
After being found by a mall employee, Brian, on Tuesday, June 4th, the animal was taken to Elk Lake Veterinary Hospital where she spent the night.

The treatment at the hospital improved her condition enough for her to be released to the care of an Animal Control staff member.
Since then, she has been named “Lily” and had the chance to rest, recuperate, and play with toys donated by The Knittins for Kittens Project.
Although not yet fully recovered, Lily knows she’s the centre of attention and according to VACS, has “decided that being hand fed in bed is the only way a famous kitten should eat”.
