RCMP search for missing man who may be hitchhiking on Vancouver Island

RCMP are searching for a BC man who went missing earlier this month and is believed to be on Vancouver Island.

Michael Skene – who goes by his middle name Gregory – was last seen outside of Fort Fraser Lake on Sunday, June 9th.

He was in the area mushroom picking and was seen walking from the store, heading to where he had set up camp. His tent was located however there were no personal belongings there.

Authorities have conducted an intensive ground and air search but to no avail. They believe Skene may be hitchhiking on Vancouver Island.

He is described as a 6’1″ Caucasian man with blue eyes, brown hair and a slim, thin build.
