It’s time to ring in the summer solstice and the changing of the seasons with Victoria’s 24th annual FernFest!
First created in 1996, FernFest celebrates the art, music, creativity, and community of Fernwood all in one fun-filled weekend.
For its 24th year, the festival promises to bring groovy tunes from live musicians, delicious local food and drinks, an artisan market, theater performances, magic, kid’s zones, walking tours, and so much more.

On Friday, visitors can see Fernwood Square transformed into a stage and market with live performers on the gazebo stage, concerts in the Belfry Theatre, a BBQ (with vegetarian and gluten free options), and drinks from Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. and Merridale Cidery & Distillery, and more.
Then, after the sun goes down, a FernFest 19+ afterparty will be taking place at Logan’s Pub, complete with drink specials and even more live music.
On Saturday, visitors can return to Fernwood to see Victoria High School’s field converted into a “Field of Dreams”, filled with a kid’s play zone, kid’s stage, face painting, balloon twisting, art, tours, non-profit booths, and more.
Besides the Field of Dreams, people can also take part in Heritage Walking Tours with Victoria Heritage Foundation and Victoria Compost Education Centre Tours on Saturday.
Musicians for this year’s FernFest include The New Souls, Fox Glove, Cara Bateman Music, and whole lot more local talent.
There’s plenty of fun things to see, hear, and do over the two day festival!
