Don your boots and dust off your cowboy hat, because Sunfest Country Music Festival is returning to Lake Cowichan this August long weekend, and it’s gearing up for its best year ever!

Hosted at the idyllic Laketown Ranch and spanning over the weekend of August 1st to August 4th, Sunfest has quickly become an Island favourite with over 40,000 guests in attendance each year – and with the abundance of country artists, beautiful campsite backdrops and crowd-pleasing activities (slip n’slide, anyone?) it’s easy to see why!
This year’s jam-packed lineup will include performances by Jason Aldean (recently crowned ‘Artist of the Decade’), Maren Morris, Kip Moore, Randy Houser and many more over the August long weekend. In total, there are over 35 bands that will perform over three stages at the Ranch during the four-day festival.
Country music fans can enjoy the best Nashville has to offer – in addition to the great food options, there are plenty of activities to enjoy during the festival weekend including Sunfest’s famous slip ‘n slide, loads of games, and brand new for 2019 – a double Zipline that is sure to thrill fans as they are propelled directly over-top of the concert bowl!
On top of their 19+ beverage gardens, Sunfest is also proud to have always been a family-friendly event – it’s free for kids 12 and under to attend! and Little ones are encouraged to dance their hearts out alongside their families, and family camping areas and a designated family zone within the concert bowl make it easier than ever for them to attend.
