This speeding incident marks the third instance of a vehicle being impounded in southern Vancouver Island this month.
Last Friday, a drunk driver had their vehicle impounded after they were caught driving over double the speed limit in a Saanich playground zone.
Just days before the playground incident, Central Saanich police seized a motorcycle for travelling over 120 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
