There’s arguably no better way to end the summer than taking in a Blues concert or two right in Victoria’s Inner Harbour.

The Vancouver Island Blues Bash will be returning to Victoria for its 26th year, between August 31st and September 2nd. Organized by the Victoria Jazz Society, this event features both free and ticketed concerts over Labour Day weekend.

The free performances occur between noon and 5 p.m. on each day of the festival. Out of these, be sure to keep an eye out for the Blue Moon Marquee Band – a Gypsy Blues band that plays a fusion of early blues, jazz, and country music.

Known for their unique style, the duo were nominated for the Maple Best New Artist of the Year award in 2016. Their performance will take place on Saturday, August 31st.

The Vancouver Island Blues Bash also features a number of ticketed shows happening at venues across the city.

One of these is the Lindsay Beaver concert, which the Blue Marquee Band will also be opening for.
