Get ready for a spectacular air show like no other!
The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, 431 Air Demonstration Squadron will be taking to the skies over Nanaimo on Wednesday, August 14th.
The squadron of nine craft will take to the skies for a series of acrobatic displays, reaching speeds ranging from 100 to 320 knots (185 to 590 km/h), and flying as close as 1.2 metres apart.
They will fly over Nanaimo Harbour, and can be best viewed from the city’s Harbourfront Walkway.
The show is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., and is expected to last between 45 minutes and one hour.
After the airshow, guests will move to Maffeo Sutton Park for the FREE concert featuring the South Island Rhythm Kings who will take the stage until 8:15 p.m.
