A review of the store’s video surveillance cameras showed that an unknown man had entered the store at around 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 10th.

At some point, the suspect walked into the men’s bathroom and locked himself in a stall.

Apparently he stayed in the stall until the store closed for the night. Several hours later, he lifted himself up into the ceiling tiles and crawled over to the LPO’s office.

Once he got over to the office, he broke through the tiles, dropped down into the room, grabbed two monitors and proceeded to walk out of the office and out through the main entrance of the business.

Police are now asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
