A proposed bowling alley and entertainment complex at Uptown Shopping Centre has recently received unanimous approval from Saanich council.
The property proposed by The Banquet at Uptown required the support of the municipality for their application to the BC Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch for extended hours past midnight and a food primary license.

The facility plans to operate daily from 9 a.m. til 2 a.m. and have dancing and live music “from time to time”.
It includes a two-storey space with seating for 636 people, and an upper level patio. If approved, the main floor would encompass dining and bar seating and a total of 11 bowling lanes.
The proposal also outlines plans for a turf area on the upper floor for recreational activities.
According to The Banquet’s application, neither Saanich Police nor Saanich Fire object to the application with respect to safety concerns.
