VicPD have confirmed that one man was transported to the hospital after being shot earlier today.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting on Bay Street between Forbes and Victor just after 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a recent update, one man was shot outside a residence and transported to the hospital once police arrived.
“Officers responded to the area and searched for suspects and evidence. Bay Street was closed to traffic between Forbes and Victor streets. It remains closed at this time,” reads a VicPD statement on the matter.
Police believe that the incident was not random and that there is no risk to the public at this time.
While officers remain in the area to conduct their investigation, residents in the locality have been given the ‘all clear’.
