A favourite summer event is returning to Victoria this weekend!
Pet-A-Palooza is a FREE, two-day pet friendly event that stars community canines of every kind in a range of fun events at Bullen Park in Esquimalt.
On Saturday, August 17th, people can participate or spectate in a rowdy wiener dog race, take part in a rambunctious puppy stampede, get some adorable exercise at ‘yoga with puppies’, or try out Victoria’s first ever ‘Mud Run with your dog’!

The wiener dog race begins at 12:00 p.m., but people can register their furry friends from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Meanwhile the puppy stampede kicks off at 2:00 p.m., with registration beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Victorians and their four-legged friends can work as a team to compete in the city’s first ever Mud Run with your dog.
The Mud Run is a 120-foot long mud pit obstacle course that includes mud crawling, balance walking, a ‘ring of fire’, and more with prizes for the fastest contestants.
Then on Sunday, August 18th, people can check out the adorable Corgi races and the ‘Running of the bulls’ (dog races for both English and French bulldogs). Plus, there will be more puppy yoga lessons available!
Besides the fun events, Pet-A-Palooza will feature an off-leash hang out area, swag bags from Pets West, food, and more.
