After confirming his identity, officers have been able to track his movements and obtain surveillance video of Sidor from the Rock Bay area of Victoria on Thursday, August 15th.

In the video, he is wearing the same clothes he was at the time of his death, but police have yet to recover his backpack and shoes.

Police believe that finding these items may provide insights into his death and area appealing to the public for help in locating them.

The backpack is described as all black, with possibly some reflective or shiny material on the shoulder straps, and the shoes are described as white, or light coloured, lace up runners.

“Our sincerest condolences go out to Mr. Sidor’s family and friends,” said Sgt. Julie Fast in a release.

“We will continue to put all necessary resources into investigating how and why he died, to bring some level of closure to those who loved him.”

Officers ask that anyone who finds these items do not touch or move them, and instead call police immediately.

Police are also looking to speak to anyone who had contact with Sidor between August 15th and the morning of August 17th.
