Saanich Police are advising vehicles to take alternate routes after a motorcycle crash this afternoon.
Ambulance and fire crews are attending the intersection of Tillicum Rd and Trans Canada Highway after a motorcycle crashed into a pole at around 2:20 p.m. this afternoon.
According to Saanich Police, the driver of motorcycle has gone to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
“We’ve got identifiers and officers out there assessing the scene,” said Sgt. Julie Fast.
Authorities say traffic in the area could be affected, but the highway continues to operate as usual, for the most part.
