It appears Victoria’s last remaining strip club has closed its doors for good, according to several staff members who were informed of the sudden closure by a text message.
There has been no confirmation from the company itself, however, reports from multiple staff members indicate that Sunday was the Fox Showroom Pub’s last day of operation.
Servers and other staff received a text message this morning indicating the closure is permanent.
The Fox Showroom Pub located on Douglas Street has been in operation at the Red Lion Inn since the 1960’s. The popular strip club closed in 2001 following a major fire and fully reopened in 2003.
