Global Climate Strike: Rally & Teach-in for climate justice

Teachers, students, parents, everyone in the education community, and everyone in the community are invited to join this rally and teach-in on climate justice to support the international week of climate strikes.

  • When: 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Where: BC Legislature Building, 501 Belleville Street

Fall Lovers Paint Nite 

Celebrate the coming of fall in the best way at Paint Nite at Elements Casino in Victoria for a fun-filled evening where you will transform a blank canvas into a personal work of Autumn Art!

  • When: 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
  • Where: Elements Casino Victoria, 1708 Island Hwy

Roller Dance 1 

Learn how to roller dance! This class will get you started on roller dance basics. Students will also learn a choreographed routine to be performed at the Roller Skate Victoria Dance Academy Christmas Show.

  • When: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Where: Centennial United Church, 649 Gorge Road E

Open Mic at The Mint with Pete McMastar

Head over and showcase your talent, whether it’s music, comedy, dance, spoken word or poetry… you name it! This event goes late, and Pete will have some instruments to get your jams going.

  • When: 9 p.m. – 12 a.m.
  • Where: The Mint, 1414 Douglas Street

Join the Resistance Rising Choir

In the face of environmental and social calamity, Resistance Rising Choir is dedicated to elevating awareness, building community and inspiring action by bringing the magic of choral harmony to the frontlines of environmental and social justice movements.

They are offering a 3 week introduction and orientation period for new members to go check them out.
