Downtown’s iconic Victoria Conservatory of Music is hosting a FREE open house for one day only

Have you ever wondered what the beautiful, historic building on the corner of Johnson Street is all about?

Now’s your chance to find out!

The Victoria Conservatory of Music invites the whole community to join in their musical fun when it throws open the doors on Saturday, September 7th and welcomes visitors for a day full of learning about all they have to offer.

Happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m that day, you can tour the school and view their performance halls, practice rooms, and new and improved library featuring over 60,000 music sheets and books. 

Family fun will include instrument “petting zoos” and free mini-classes with VCM’s Early Childhood Music department (ages 0-6) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – you can also experience their all new Music Tech Lab for yourself.

You can also enjoy free concerts by VCM faculty and students in the infamous Alix Goolden Performance Hall, and learn more about what the the school has to offer in many departments including Classical, Contemporary, Music Technology, Post-Secondary diploma and certificate programs (accredited by Camosun College), Early Childhood Music Classes and Music Therapy.
