Saanich Police are advising the public to be cautious after several reports of bear sightings were made recently.
Over the past 24-hours, several people have reported spotting a bear in the West Saanich Road/Sparton Road area.
Officers are reminding people to “be bear aware” and keep small pets on a leash.
BC Conservation Service has been made aware of these reports, and police ask that any further sightings be disclosed to Conservation officers at 250-356-9234.
